The Lincoln Police Department announced the arrest of 23-year-old Karsen Rezac. On Saturday at 9:43 a.m. Rezac was arrest in connection to the murder that happened near South 20th and Washington Streets of 38-year-old Kupo Mleya. Police responded to a call of a reported disturbance in the area on Friday at 12:21 a.m. When they arrived on the scene they found a vehicle that had been involved in a crash. They also found the driver, Kupo Mleya, suffering from a gunshot wound in the vehicle. Investigators made contact with Rezac around the area of 28th St. and Tierra Drive and they took him into custody there without incident. Rezac was charged with second-degree murder and the use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. The investigation into this crime is still ongoing so that a timeline can be established of the events before, during, and after the accident.
