Student Arrested for Bringing a Gun onto Omaha School Campus

Metro area authorities arrested a 17-year-old who had brought a gun onto an Omaha School campus. OPD said they received a radio call from the resource officer at Omaha North High School in need of assistance after a student that had brought a gun onto campus had fled the school grounds. Uniformed officers who quickly arrived at the scene found the student and took the teen into custody. The teen was then booked for possession of a firearm on school grounds and taken to the Douglas County Youth Center.
