Pawnee County Court sets bail for a man accused of domestic assault and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person at $250,000. 31-year-old Joshua Hatfield is described as a “grave danger” to his family if he is released from custody by Sheriff Braden Lang. An investigation by the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office and an intake form by DHHS includes allegations of violence by Hatfield including an affidavit that describes a incident on New Years’ Day where Hatfield put a gun to his chin before turning the gun and pointing it at his family who were pleading with him not to shoot himself. The sheriff’s office said that Hatfield has a felony conviction that prohibits him from owning or possessing a firearm.
