In Kearney, Nebraska, a man is recuperating from injuries following an incident where police allege a Kearney resident stabbed him multiple times.
The incident occurred early Saturday morning at an apartment complex in northwest Kearney. Upon arrival at the building, officers discovered three individuals outside. According to a press release, a 47-year-old man was found on the ground with several stab wounds to his upper torso inflicted by a knife. Emergency medical services were called, and he was transported to a hospital for treatment.
A woman present at the scene was unharmed but reported that the suspect had caused damage to her vehicle. Authorities arrested 23-year-old Chance Sanders on charges of attempted homicide, first-degree assault, criminal mischief, and a weapons violation. Sanders is currently held at the Buffalo County Jail.
The victim of the stabbing received medical care and was later released from the hospital.
