ORD, Neb. – The Valley County Health System Foundation (VCHSF) recently donated diabetes education booklets for patients to utilize when participating in the VCHS Diabetes Education Program.
The VCHS Diabetes Education Program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association and focuses on diabetes education and self-management. VCHS Diabetes Educator Kayla Beethe, RN, CDCES, in coordination with VCHS medical staff members, utilize specialized training to teach patients about diabetes, help them develop a personal plan to manage their diabetes, and assist them in leading a healthy life. The booklets donated by the VCHSF will provide essential daily guidance for patients as they learn to live with diabetes.
