GRAND ISLAND — An 89-year-old Grand Island man is headed to trial on multiple felony charges involving a teenage girl.
Floyd Leiser is charged with one count of felony stalking and three counts of criminal child enticement. According to court records, the case began when the victim’s mother reported that Leiser attempted to lure her daughter into his pickup truck in late June.
Investigators allege that Leiser continued to harass the teenager for two months, leading to additional charges. One of the enticement counts stems from an incident on August 5, when Leiser allegedly tried again to convince the girl to enter his vehicle.
Leiser is currently being held at the Hall County Detention Center on a bond set at 10 percent of $100,000. He waived his preliminary hearing, and the case has been bound over to Hall County District Court. His next hearing is scheduled for September 16.
