Carolyn Ann was born May 17, 1944, at Burwell, Nebraska to Marvin and Aileen (Larsen) Timmerman. She grew up on the family farm east of Burwell with her younger sister, Betty. Carolyn received her early education at Rosevale Country School and graduated from Burwell High School in 1962.
Following high school, Carolyn pursued a business degree from Omaha School of Business and began working at Omaha Grain Exchange. She later moved to Grand Island where she was the head of the loan department at Commercial National Bank.
Carolyn was introduced to Danny F. Redman on a blind date, and the couple was united in marriage on March 14, 1971, at Burwell, Nebraska. They made their home on the Redman Ranch, north of Burwell and were blessed with a son, Casey in 1979.
Carolyn spent her early years as the Deputy Assessor of Garfield County until 1979, when she became a mother. She later resumed working in 1999, as an administrative assistant at Subconn, until 2020.
Carolyn enjoyed the ranch life, being outdoors, helping in the hayfield and cooking for her family and the branding crew where she was well known for her pies.
Carolyn accepted Christ as her Savior in 1972, was a faithful member of the Burwell Baptist Church, and together, Carolyn and Danny were Awana Leaders.
Above all, family was Carolyn’s pride and joy; as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She felt truly blessed; and knew her family was a treasured gift from God.
