A Grand Island man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say a search of his residence uncovered a large amount of illegal drugs. Thirty-year-old Christopher Holt has been charged in Hall County Court with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of psilocybin mushrooms with intent to distribute in a school zone, and distribution of marijuana near a school.
According to court documents, investigators with the TRIDENT drug task force assisted with a probation search at Holt’s home on Friday. During the search, officers reportedly found a backpack containing approximately 183 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 116 grams of marijuana, and 53 grams of cocaine, along with a digital scale, THC wax containers, psilocybin-infused chocolate bars, and drug paraphernalia.
Investigators also located a safe inside a bedroom that allegedly contained an additional seven grams of cocaine, along with more THC wax containers, psilocybin chocolate bars, and pills. Court records indicate the residence is located near Walnut Middle School and the Islander Annex building, placing the alleged offenses within school zones.
A judge set Holt’s bond at $200,000, with 10 percent required for release. He is scheduled to return to court for a hearing on January 27 at 3:30 p.m.
