Margaret M. Sintek passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell, Nebraska at the age of 34.
Born on October 24, 1991, in Ord, Nebraska to Steven and Vickie (Mason) Sintek, Margaret lived a life full of love and resilience.
She attended North Loup-Scotia High School, where she was involved in art, track, and Special Olympics, graduating in 2010. She continued her education at Ord High School, participating in the school-to-work program and making many friends along the way.
While growing up she developed a love for music which led to teaching herself how to play songs on the piano. Margaret found joy in riding horses and benefited from its therapy. She had a passion for holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween, and enjoyed decorating for them. She spent hours working on complicated puzzles and loved birdwatching (although she disliked grackles). Connecting with people on her cell phone and playing games on her iPad were some of her favorite pastimes.
Despite being born with serious medical conditions, Margaret faced her health challenges with courage, resilience, strength, and grace. She had an innocence about her that made her seem “forever young”. This youthful spirit endeared her to those that touched her life in impactful ways, including family, teachers, caregivers, medical personnel, and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Steven Sintek of North Loup and Vickie and Roger Lansman of Ord; brother, Clark Sintek of June Lake, California; half-sister, Katherine (Kurt) Karcher of Lincoln; half-brother, Gage Sintek of Kearney; two step-brothers, Ben (Shawna) Lansman and Colin (Brenda) Lansman all of Ord; her grandparents, Merrill and Marie Mason of Ord; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Joan Sintek; grandparents, Lyle and Lucienne Sintek; and uncle, Bill Keyser.
Please join Margaret’s family as they gather to celebrate her beautiful life and the love she shared with all.
