Sage Marie Jurgensen, born at Hastings, Nebraska on February 20, 2025, the daughter of Ryan and Sarah (Gumb) Jurgensen was welcomed into Heaven on March 30, 2026, at age of 1.
Sage lived a life that mattered. She gave love unconditionally, received love joyfully, and made the world better. Sage went straight from crawling to running, embracing life with a spirit full of wonder. She loved to blow kisses while dancing and screaming to the Bluey theme song, filling every moment with joy. Extra that’s the perfect word to describe Miss Sage.
From the day we found out she was a girl, to her baby shower, to her 1st birthday party, she was Extra. Extra special, extra sweet and extra crazy wrapped up in the cutest little firecracker of a package but most of all we were extra lucky to have Sage, even if she left us wanting just a little more extra time.Sage was the center of Ryan and Sarah’s world, the light of her grandparents’ lives, and a constant source of happiness for her aunts, uncles, cousins, and all the friends who were lucky enough to know her.She found joy everywhere—whether in people, in her beloved animals and doggies, or in the simple moments that made life special. In her short but beautiful time on earth she grew her own pumpkins, brewed coffee with her mom, rode in her pink jeep, did chores with her dad, swam in the ocean, built sandcastles, kept Grandma on her feet, and cheered her cousins on at many sporting events. Sage embraced all she encountered with curiosity and love.
Even now, Sage continues to give joy through the donor program, a lasting reflection of her amazing spirit. Though her time here was brief, her impact on family, friends, and those she helped is immeasurable.Sage made us all better, and her love will continue to shine in every life she touched.
