ORD — The power outage at Ord Elementary at the beginning of the year gad no significant result on classes, but some equipment was affected.
Superintendent Jason Alexander says a circuit board on a water heater and an exhaust fan were replaced. A pump also sprung a leak as a result and will be replaced at the end of the month.
The school was evacuated within five minutes of the outage a few weeks ago and the problem was diagnosed and corrected. No additional school days were affected.
