BURWELL — Garfield County is just about finished with the process to acquire land at the North Shop site from the Nebraska Board of Education.
The plt sits next to the District 70 school off of Highway 11. Garfield County had used the area for storage for years, but realized earlier this yearthat it was actually owned by the Nebraska State Board of Education.
The county purchased the just over five acres for $1,000 per.
