ORD — An office is scheduled to be set up in Ord this week for right-of-wayagents helping with NPPD’s Muddy Creek Transmission Line.
The line runs about 42 miles between Broken Bow and Ord and will be used to ensure blackouts, like what hit the area in 2012, don’t happen again.
The final route has been established and all land owners effected have been mailed a newsletter with information. This covers about 100 people, whose questions can be handled at the right-of-way office. That will be located at 1518 J Street.
Construction on the line is set to start in the summer of 2017 and in service by March 2018.
