ORD — Central Community College in Ord hosted Connecting Young Nebraskans this week with the goal of sparking action in participants.
The day was made possible by the Synovation Leadership Academy and used tomatoes as a metaphor for resources to teach atendees how to better themselves and their businesses.
The event is called Connecting Young Nebraskans, but CCC’s Crystal Ramm says all kinds of people were involved.
“They are all walks of life,” she says. “Some day-care providers, we have somebody from Broken Bow that owns his own advertising company, we have a rancher, we have a farmer, we have Central Community College employees. It’s really excitng that people decided to get up and drive here for this event.”
About 40 people participated and, with any luck, this isn’t the last time Central Community College hosts an event like this. All are with the goal of helping local professionals better themselves and their community.
