ORD — As the holiday season kicks-off this month, Ord will once again be home to Winterfest on the Saturday following Thanksgiving.
Part of the celebration will be the snowball drop on the Valley County Courthouse law. Ping pong balls will drop from the sky to the people below. This year, Kristina Foth and the rest of the organizers are adding a kids portion.
“They’ll be able to catch some Christmas toys and fun gift items,” she says. “Immediately following that we’ll have the regular snowball drop for community members ten-years-old and above and those snowballs will represent special in-store discounts or gift items and even chamber bucks.”
Those are sponosred by local chamber businesses and can be redeemed at the Small Business Saturday Headquarters in the east lobby of the courthouse.
