ORD — “Valley County’s Got Talent” helped celebrate the opening of The Golden Husk in Ord.
The event was highlighted by a list of local performers that featured Lily Farrens, Britan Blair, Timothy White, The Severance Family, Jim Craft, Jessica Shafer and Julie Baker-Anderson along with beatboxer D-Wayne Taylor.
Board member Dale Zadina says the plan is to keep have a place where people can showcase talent like this.
“My goal is to have the community participate in utilizing it and the school, I’m sure. will be participating in having plays here or whatever,” he said. “We hope this is a nice building that the community can benefit from and get the outside community into Ord and enjoy it, also.”
The Golden Husk plans to continue to bring performers that are local, from across the state and elsewhere by partnering with various arts groups. The next event is “A Valley County Christmas Celebration” slated for December 12.
