GRAND ISLAND — The Hall County Board of Supervisors have voted unanimously to submit an application to take over ownership of a federal building in Grand Island.
The county has until late January to submit the application to be eligible for a possible no-cost transfer of the federal property to a local government.
The first floor of the building will be used for the child support division of the Hall County Attorney’s Office. The second would be for a juvenile court.
The building was originally built in 1909 as a post office and courthouse.
