LINCOLN — A measure in the Nebraska Unicameral would require students to pass the federal government’s civics exam for U.S. citizenship.
The bill would go into effect during the 2017 school year and would require students to get at least 70% of the questions right before they could graduate.
Ten other states have passed similar laws.
