KEARNEY — The Broken Bow Elks Lodge had six first-place finalists at the District Hoop Shoot Contest in Kearney over the weekend.
From Broken Bow: Avery Campbell finished third in 12 to 13-year-old girls category and Coy Wardyn was third in 8 to 9-year-old boys.
From Burwell: Jenna Schott finished in second place in 10 to 11-year-old girls, Kaitlyn Simpson was first in 8 to 9-year-old girls, Dillon Simpson was fourth in 10 to 11-year-old boys and Carter Mann was second in 12 to 13-year-old boys.
