LINCOLN — If a measure in the Nebraska Legislature becomes law, back-to-school shoppers could be spending less.
A proposal would create a sales-tax-free weekend each year during the first weekend of August. This covers clothing, school supplies, computers and computer accessories priced less than $750.
18 other states offer similar weekends, including Iowa and Missouri.
