KEARNEY — Court records show that a 20-year-old man has been sent to prison after being convicted of attempted sexual assault.
Jorge Gutierrez-Alavez was sentenced to three to ten years behind bars for an assault on another male student at a University of Nebraska-Kearney residence hall last April.
He pleaded no contest in exchange for a lower charge and was given credit for eight days already served.
