ORD — The Valley County Health System is in the process of bringing a new cystoscope to the facility.
The equipment is used primarily in the urology department and helps examine the bladder for abnormalities. It will replace an older version from 2005.
The $34,0000 piece of equipment is digital and allows for more procedures to be done on patients.
In addition, the Health System recently received two LUCAS machines. These are automated CPR devices that allow for continuous, unrelenting compressions, rather than manual CPR.
These were acquired through a grant.
