ORD — In an effort to try and solve a year-long billing disagreement, the Valley County Board of Supervisors plans on sending an offer of $10,000 to former county surveyor, Miller & Associates.
The issue stems from February 2015 when the county received a bill for more than $16,000. It was the final bill the company delivered after not being reappointed.
The county contends that some of the charges were close to a year old and it hadn’t bee notified on much of the work that was being done.
Since then, the number has dropped to $15,789, but the board still challenges many of the charges.
Valley County hopes the $10,000 offer settles the claims.
