POLK — Those who had contact with a teen at High Plains Community are taking precautionary steps.
This after that student died of what appears to be meningitis.
Antibiotics are being given to anyone in contact with the student. Central District Health Department officials are not treating this as an outbreak at this time.
The sophomore’s name has not been released.
