LINCOLN — A new bill in the Nebraska Unicameral would begin work for statewide 911 services to receive video and photos from cellphones.
The proposals would put the Nebraska Public Service Commission in charge of developing a plan and reporting back to the legislature with its recommendations by December 2017.
The services would be paid for with existing telephone service fees.
Supporters say the measure helps fix the states outdated 911 services.
