LINCOLN — A final vote in the Nebraska Unicameral is ahead for a bill that would ban small, flame-powered air balloons.
These are often used in memorial celebrations. Senators worry that the flying lanterns are a fire hazard if they land in neighborhoods or small fields.
If the measure passes, violators would face a $100 fine.
