ORD — A lunch-and-learn at Central Community College in Ord this week focused on communication.
About 20 business leaders stopped to take part in the session.
Regina Rathman travels to institutions across the state for these events. She says communication is crucial, but sometimes overlooked. “As you probably guess, 80% of our failures in business are due to communication,” she explains.
“it’s good to have a refresher for everyone to know what that communication looks like and what we can do to improve that communication in the workplace,” Rathman adds.
The workshop taught active listening, as well as helping people become aware of both verbal and non-verbal behavior. The session is one of many held at Central Community College’s across the state throughout the year.
