COLUMBUS — The city council in Columbus unanimously approved a measure to limit children’s exposure to secondhand smoke.
Tobacco-free signs will be placed in park areas and where children are frequently present. This includes playgrounds, athletic fields and concession stands.
The policy isn’t backed by any legal ramifications or fines. Rather, it relies on citizens being respectful of each other.
