LINCOLN — Data from the USDA shows that the number of farms and ranches in Nebraska fell again in 2015.
The state saw a drop of about 400 farms and ranches.
The may be because more-and-more small farms are being taken over by larger companies. The number of farms with less than $100,000 in revenue declined by 500, while there are about 100 more large farms than a year ago.
The total amount of land used for farms and ranches remained unchanged.
