LINCOLN — Former Nebraska star John Parrella is returning to the school to coach the defensive line.
He replaces Hank Hughes, who was fired on February 5th.
The coach had spent the last two seasons at Division II Northern Michigan and played in Lincoln from 1988 to 1992 before 12-year NFL career.
Head Coach Mike Riley also announced that former NFL general manager Bill Devaney will join the team as Executive Director of Player Personnel and Special Assistant to the Head Coach.
