COLUMBUS — A woman in Columbus has had a charge reduced to negligent child abuse after she pleaded no contest this week.
Ruby Baeta, 42, was facing intentional child abuse after being accused of using a stun gun to shock her 13-year-old daughter.
Columbus Police say the girl and her 16-year-old sister reported the incident in July. The officer says he saw two bumps on the girl. The mother denied the charge and owning the weapon, but the officer says he later found it in a closet at the home.
