GRAND ISLAND — The Nebraska State Patrol says two men have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Robert Honken allegedly hired Derrick Shirley to kill his estranged wife.
An undercover investigator with the state patrol met with Honken and agreed to a payment in exchange for killing the 32-year-old’s wife. He was arrested an booked into Hall County after the meeting.
Shirley was taken into custody in Hamilton County after he had made previous agreement to kill Honken’s wife for pay.
