LINCOLN — A bill is heading for debate in the Nebraska legislature that would give volunteer firefighters and paramedics a tax break.
The measure is by 43rd District Senator Al Davis and would allow emergency responders to claim a $250 credit on their state income taxes.
It is intended to incentivize volunteers in rural Nebraska, where the services are used the most.
