ORD — Ord junior Ashley Carson has received the National High School Spirit of Sport Award by the National Federation of State High School Associations.
The award recognizes students who exlemplify the ideals of the spirit of sport that represent the core mission of education-based athletics.
The federation cited Ashley’s performance in the classroom, extra-curricular activities and work in the community. She was the sole national winner while eight others were chosen throughout the country for section awards.
