BURWELL — Tables were filled with baked goods and auction items at the Parish Center in Burwell to benefit a local resident.
The proceeds all went to support Mary Drudik.
Denise Joy helped set up the event and was happy with the amount of participation from the community. “We have handmade cedar table, we have several wreaths, we have sensi baskets, some crosses, quilts, tables, gift certificates,” she says.
“Those are all donated from people from here and other towns,” Joy add. “Friends of hers and family.”
Along with the auction and bake sale was a pancake supper. There was no goal on what the group wanted to raise, just whatever they could to help.
