ORD — The 2016 Big Give to Valley County drew some large donations for local non-profits.
From Thursday to Friday Morning, people around the area gave money to those who give back. The $95,288 raised on 454 donations are both the highest totals in the four-year history of the event.
Jodi Sell is part of the SVLA, one of the non-profits helped by The Big Give. She says it’s amazing to see the response. “I think the turnout has been outstanding,” she adds. “Just by looking at the totals as they come out each time, it’s really amazing the people we have in Valley County, and even the people outside of Valley County. that care so much about this area.”
The total compares to last year when 445 donations were taken for just $71,090 have been raised during for years of The Big Give.
