BURWELL — Items both homemade and donated were auctioned off at Burwell High School this week to assist the Garfield County 4-H.
Campers got involved by making some of the products that were bid on and just helping out. Jennifer Schoen helps run the event and says that aspect helps them get involved.
“They are so proud, it’s so fun to see them bring their products to the front,” she says. “They are just so excited about it and some of them actually offer their services, too.”
“It’s neat to see them getting engaged in their community,” Schoen adds.
On the other side, the money raised really helps the 4-H kids. The money has been used in the past to help pay for a trip to Washington D.C. to learn abour citizenship, offer scholarships and send campers to state 4-H camp.
