LINCOLN — Governor Ricketts has signed a proposed state budget into law with no line-item vetoes.
The budget totals $8.7 billion and offers a funding boost to college and university facilities, behavioral health programs and prisons.
Supporters say the budget fulfills obligations and allow for long-term investment, while opponents believe the state should be more frugal.
