ORD — Ord has been chosen as one of 12 communities to host the Nebraska Good Living Tour.
The event chooses sites based on what opportunities they offer to attract and retain young people. The hope is to show the quality of life in rural Nebraska.
The day is highlighted by a music lineup, which will be announced in coming weeks. Scratchtown Brewing Company, Cornerstone Bank of North Loup, Piskorski Dental, Kokes Repair, Matt Woodward/Shelter Insurance, Sikyta Law Office, Complete Family Dentistry, Bruce & Marian Lammers, The Golden Husk and The Ord Area Chamber of Commerce and Valley County Tourism combined to raise the $5,000 necessary to bring the event to town.
Ord is the first stop on July 21, as the tour runs until August 7.
