LINCOLN — Nebraska lawmakers advanced a bill that requires independent agencies using state money or government-appointed boards to make their financial spending public.
The records would join all state agencies and the University of Nebraska on the state spending website.
The proposal could affect as many as 24 agencies, including the Nebraska State Fair Board, Environmental Trust Board and the State Anatomical Board.
