State Troopers arrested two men after a traffic stop Saturday in which the driver attempted to fight an officer near Grand Island. A trooper stopped a Chevrolet Impala that had failed to yield the right of way while exiting off I-80 and heading northbound on Highway 2. The trooper attempted a traffic stop. but the driver didn’t yield and accelerated with the trooper initiating a pursuit. The vehicle was headed westbound on a country road and lost control and crashing into a ditch. The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot. The trooper caught the driver who was identified as 23-year-old Dylan Valdez of Ashland, when Valdez attempted to fight the trooper. The trooper eventually got control of Valdez and took him into custody. During the struggle between the Valdez and the trooper the passenger of the vehicle ran back to the vehicle to grab a backpack and the began to flee on foot again. The passenger was taken into custody a while afterwards and was later identified as 31-year-old Logan Korb of Omaha. Valdez and Korb were taken to Hamilton County Jail and booked on numerous charges.
