Body Found on Highway 275 has been Identified

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office a body that was found Thursday September 22 on Highway 275 has been identified. They then notified the next of kin and then identified the victim as Yashua Martinez of La Vista. Deputies were alerted to a possible body found by construction crews on Highway 275 near Morningside Road around 2:30 p.m. This led to Highway 275 being closed for around seven hours during the investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Fremont Police, Nebraska State Patrol, and the Douglas County Crime Lab. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said there is not risk to the public at this time but the investigation is still ongoing.
