LINCOLN, Neb. January 20, 2023 – All layers in Nebraska during December 2022 totaled
6.80 million, down from 8.22 million the previous year, according to the USDA’s National
Agricultural Statistics Service.
Nebraska egg production during December totaled 161 million eggs, down from 205 million in
2021. December egg production per 100 layers was 2,371 eggs, compared to 2,487 eggs in 2021.
