Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol were involved in a pursuit in Dawson County that led to the arrest of a Wisconsin man. According to authorities, around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, a trooper spotted an eastbound Honda Civic speeding on I-80 near Lexington. Officials said when the trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop the driver of the Honda accelerated and fled, initiating a pursuit where according to NSP, the Honda reached speeds over 100 mph as it continued westbound. The Honda also passed other vehicles on the shoulder multiple times. Then the driver pulled the vehicle over into the median near mile marker 261. Troopers then took the driver into custody without further incident. Authorities said the driver, 44-year-old Marvin Adams, of Appleton, Wisconsin was arrested for willful reckless driving, flight to avoid arrest, and no operator’s license. He was lodged in Dawson County Jail.
