LINCOLN, Neb. – Chubba Purdy will be making his second start of the season Friday against the Iowa Hawkeyes, according to Huskers head coach Matt Rhule.
“He’s just done nothing but play good football,” Rhule said. “So I think he gives us the best chance to win.”
Purdy’s first start this season was against Wisconsin, where he passed for 169 yards and 1 touchdown, with 105 rushing yards and a score in 17-24 Nebraska loss. With a win Friday, the Nebraska Huskers would become bowl eligible.
The Huskers will kick off against Iowa at 11 a.m. (CT) on Friday, Nov. 22 in Lincoln.
