
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Jacob Pinkleman of Grand Island has been arrested after reportingly causing thousands of dollars to a security reader at the Grand Island Public Library this past Wednesday.
Pinkleman’s charges include criminal mischief (more than $5,000) and resisting arrest.
Officers responded to the library Wednesday after receiving reported Pinkleman knocked over a security reader, used to notify staff if anything is being taken from the building without being checked out. The damage is estimated to be between $8,000 and $10,000.
Capt. Dean Elliott said Pinkleman attempted to pull away from officers, failed to comply with commands to stand up, and his lack of cooperation required officers to carry him to their car
