The coordinators of the Central NE Farm Safety 4 Just Kids have announced a few open positions left to attend the Farm Safety Day to be held June 4, 2024, at the Valley County Fairgrounds in Ord. The program is FREE for youth from kindergarten to sixth grade. Youth from K to 2nd grade will start the day with check-in at 8:30-8:45 AM and the sessions will end at 12:00 noon with lunch to follow. Youth from 3rd to 6th grade will start with check-in and lunch at 11:45-12:15. This session will end at 3:00 PM.
Each participant will receive a free lunch and snacks, a T-shirt, and goodie bag. The featured safety item this year is a free life jacket sized for your child, if they attend the safety session that day. Life jackets are provided by donations from our local sponsors. Pre-registration is required to prepare enough materials and lunch.

To register, pick up a registration form at area schools, the Valley County Extension Office in Ord, Ord NRCS or Loup Basin Public Health in Burwell. Registrations are taken on a first registered basis until full. No registrations will be taken that day.
