Grand Island police report they have identified a suspect accused of illegally obtaining flooring materials valued at approximately $10,000 from Bruce Furniture and Flooring.
According to investigators, a man allegedly made two separate purchases using stolen credit cards to acquire the flooring. The incident was reported to authorities on Thursday after the transactions were discovered.
Division Chief Dean Elliott credited the business for helping move the investigation forward, noting that employees provided detailed documentation, including surveillance footage and a photocopy of the suspect’s driver’s license.
Police say an arrest is expected soon, or an arrest warrant will be requested if necessary. The suspect is anticipated to face two counts of theft, with each charge involving an amount between $1,500 and $4,999.99.
